Forward Deployed Engineer

Aravolta seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers on-site, deploying their data center monitoring and optimization software in complex environments. This is a production-focused role combining customer engagement with hands-on engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy and configure Aravolta at customer sites, collaborating with infrastructure and operations teams - Build custom integrations, data pipelines, and automation workflows for specific customer environments - Troubleshoot complex issues across networking, device communication, and telemetry collection - Translate customer needs into feature requests and contribute to core product development - Develop internal tools, scripts, and documentation to streamline future deployments Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years software engineering experience - High agency and ownership mentality - Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities for unfamiliar systems - Direct customer or client-facing technical experience - Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls) - Ability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous settings - Willingness to travel to customer sites (30-50%) Compensation & Details: - Salary: $150K - $240K - Equity: 0.25% - 0.50% - Location: San Francisco, CA / Remote (US) - Type: Full-time - Visa: US citizen/visa only - Experience Level: Any (new grads welcome)
