Forward Deployed Engineer

Comena seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as a core engineering hire. This position blends technical expertise with communication skills, requiring direct customer engagement to maximize platform value. The role encompasses onboarding, implementation, and support while contributing to product development. Work occurs at startup pace with rapid feature deployment and opportunity to shape engineering culture. Customer Implementation: Lead full lifecycle implementation including configuration, testing, and deployment of AI agents. Integrate client data and systems (ERP), understand custom workflows, and adapt backend logic and UI to client requirements. Collaboration: Work closely with founders and customers translating needs into technical solutions. Provide technical guidance and training driving adoption. Full-Stack Development: Build and ship features using TypeScript frontend and Python backend, moving projects from concept through production including UI, business logic, and cloud services. Candidates should demonstrate high agency operating independently with ownership. Strong communication skills and comfort with non-technical stakeholders required. The ideal candidate ships full-stack products quickly without sacrificing code quality, loves startups, and commits beyond traditional work hours. Salary: €80K - €150K EUR. Equity: 1.00% - 2.00%.
