Forward Deployed Engineer

Position Overview: CommodityAI seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to manage technical delivery of customer implementations from sales handoff through production stability. Key Responsibilities: Own multiple deployments from prototype to stable production; Build and customize AI agents and reasoning workflows for customer data and operations; Convert customer requirements into dependable automations; Embed with customer teams to understand needs and drive adoption; Lead customer calls covering requirements, progress, and training; Communicate technical details clearly with traders, schedulers, and operators; Manage data flows through standard integrations; Maintain project momentum through clear communication and attention to detail; Balance scope, speed, and quality while protecting delivery timelines; Transform working patterns into reusable playbooks and templates. Required Qualifications: Candidates should bring 3+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience that includes customer-facing work. Strong production-grade coding ability across Python, TypeScript, or similar stacks is essential. Experience with enterprise customers and LLM/generative model deployments is valued. The ideal candidate demonstrates problem-solving abilities, clear communication with diverse stakeholders, and calm judgment under pressure. Compensation & Details: Salary $150K-$200K; Equity 0.25%-0.75%; Location San Francisco, CA (4 days/week in-office); Travel up to 30% for customer visits; Visa US citizen/visa holders only.
