Forward Deployed Engineer

Dexory seeks a technically skilled professional to serve as an intelligent interface between engineering teams and customers. This newly created position requires investigating complex, multi-system issues involving autonomous robots and data infrastructure. Investigation & Troubleshooting: The role involves receiving escalated issues and independently investigating before routing to specialists. Candidates should query telemetry data, robot logs, AWS infrastructure and analyze point cloud data to identify root causes. Monitoring & Observability: Professionals will navigate Grafana dashboards and internal tooling to monitor fleet and site health, building dashboards that improve visibility across deployed sites. Customer Deployments: This includes white glove deployment support covering WMS integration, network requirements, robot setup, and perception configuration. Technical Leadership: The role requires acting as a trusted technical advisor to strategic customers and producing documentation on deployment architectures and operational procedures. Continuous Improvement: Candidates should identify recurring failure patterns and translate them into structured product and engineering feedback. Required Qualifications: 4-5+ years in solutions engineering or technical operations; SQL expertise and comfort with telemetry data analysis; proficiency with Grafana, Linux environments, and AWS; Python or equivalent scripting language skills; AI-assisted development tool experience; strong cross-functional communication abilities; international travel willingness. Nice-to-Have Skills: Robotics familiarity, ROS2 knowledge, WMS/ERP integration experience, and consulting background are preferred but not essential.
