Forward Deployed Engineer

Pepper is building the technology platform for food distributors in the AI era, transforming a $1.5T industry. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will lead technical integration of Pepper's product with distributor's system of record to ensure successful project implementation, delivery, and best-in-class support to clients. Technical ownership: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for distributor integrations. Scalable tooling: Design and maintain reusable scripts, frameworks, and documentation. Data quality assurance: Establish and monitor validation checks. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success. Issue resolution: Proactively troubleshoot and resolve integration issues. Security and compliance: Implement best practices for data security, privacy, and compliance. Documentation & enablement: Create clear technical documentation. Must Haves: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 2+ years experience in a technical, customer-facing role (SaaS startup, ERP integration, implementation, technical account management). Hands-on technical skills: SQL, Python. Proven ability to lead and own end-to-end projects. Nice to Haves: Experience integrating ERP systems (Epicor, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, QuickBooks, ProducePro). Familiarity with EDI. Previous experience at a Series A-C startup.
