Forward Deployed Engineer

Forward Deployed Engineer (London or Remote - UK/EU/US) at Simudyne. Build and deploy custom simulation solutions directly with clients, creating Java-based applications for business needs. Manage end-to-end delivery from client requirements through production deployment, incorporating large-scale data into simulation and AI frameworks. Collaborate with engineering team on architecture decisions for simulation platform. Engage with client stakeholders across technical and executive levels. Prototype and refine solutions based on client input. Lead projects with significant autonomy from conception to launch. Essential requirements: MSc or higher degree in computer science or AI. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions while working with clients. Strong proficiency in Java. Python knowledge for data processing and analysis. Large-scale data processing and integration experience. Complex problem-solving capabilities. Comfort working in dynamic environments with changing requirements. 1-2 years relevant post-university experience. Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites (10-20%). Nice-to-have: C++ experience for performance-critical components. Supply chain, logistics, or operations research background. Simulation frameworks or modeling tools experience. Fintech or quantitative analysis background. Client-facing technical consulting experience.
