About the role

Soji AI UG seeks a senior Forward Deployed Engineer to embed within strategic aviation customers and ensure their AI platform delivers measurable operational impact. This role combines engineering expertise, operational understanding, product thinking, and business awareness. The candidate will work on-site with airlines, MROs, lessors, and aviation operators, sometimes for extended periods of 1-2+ years. Core Responsibilities: Customer Embedding & Ownership - work integrated within customer operational teams, leading structured onboarding and long-term adoption across maintenance, engineering, operations, and asset management functions. Training & Enablement - design hands-on training for operational and IT personnel, establish internal champions, monitor usage patterns, and convert feedback into actionable product improvement items. Product Translation - bridge customer operations with Soji's product organization by identifying recurring patterns and translating field insights into scalable platform enhancements. Expansion & Commercial Enablement - identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and support upsell initiatives by combining technical expertise with business awareness. Technical Integration Support - maintain deep understanding of Soji AI's architecture, diagnose integration challenges, and assist with root cause analysis without operating as basic support. Function Building & Leadership - establish best practices for customer embedding and mentor future team members. Required Qualifications: 8+ years software engineering, systems integration, or related experience. Proven track record deploying solutions in enterprise environments. Strong systems integration and deployment expertise with SaaS and enterprise platforms. Product and business acumen with ability to translate operational requirements. Aviation industry familiarity, particularly airlines, MROs, or asset managers. Strong customer ownership and communication skills. Leadership potential and growth mindset. English fluency required; German preferred. Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally to Asia.
