About the role
Tenex embeds elite engineering teams directly in Fortune 500 companies building production AI systems. Anthropic and OpenAI are formal partners. FDE walks into client codebases and ships AI workflows -- owns architecture, implementation, and production deployment end-to-end. Uses agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) to maximize throughput. Variable pay uncapped: $180K guaranteed base with quarterly bonuses scaling with output (562.5 story points quota; $80/point above quota). 3-8 years production software experience; AI-forward development mindset. Travel to client sites ~once/month. NYC office 5 days/week.
