About the role
Thought Machine's Forward Deployed Engineer is the primary technical interface with the client. FDEs embed directly with client engineering teams to design, build, and deliver production-ready implementations of Vault (cloud-native core banking). Hands-on generalist engineering role spanning backend development, systems integration, infrastructure, and technical consulting. Write production-quality code (primarily Python/Go) to build integrations, tooling, and data pipelines. Banking/financial services experience required -- familiarity with retail banking, payments, ledgers, or regulatory environments. Cloud certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure) preferred. 550+ employees, London/NYC/Singapore/Sydney/Lisbon. FT fastest-growing company two consecutive years.
