Forward Deployed Engineer (Full Stack) - Clearance Required, Vannevar Labs, San Diego, CA. This position involves deploying complex Kubernetes microservice architecture to classified cloud environments. The engineer serves as a cross-functional expert spanning software development, DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, and government accreditation. Key Responsibilities: Develop applications for classified networks; Implement DevSecOps practices for software deployment; Establish security controls meeting Department of Defense accreditation standards; Provide hands-on support deploying software on classified infrastructure; Implement logging and monitoring solutions for complex systems; Collaborate with security officials on microservice container architecture accreditation; Ensure timely patching and code security best practices across developer teams. Required Qualifications: 5+ years full stack software development or site reliability engineering experience; AWS architecture experience; Proven deployment experience on classified infrastructure; Kubernetes proficiency; Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for obtaining an Authority to Operate (ATO); Minimum Secret clearance; Location flexibility: Hawaii, San Diego, Seattle, or willingness to travel 2x/month. Preferred Skills: Typescript, React, and Node expertise; Large Language Models application development; Trivy, Sonarqube, Nessus scanning, Rancher familiarity; TS clearance with SCI Eligibility. Compensation & Benefits: Salary $150,000-$215,000 plus equity and 401(k) matching.
